Professor Dick De Veaux was quoted in the Wall Street Journal March 2, 2013, in an article on “Data Crunchers Now the Cool Kids on Campus”:
“It’s just a great time to be a statistician. … Finding Ph.D.s in statistics who are willing to devote themselves to teaching is getting harder and harder. Everybody wants them,” said Prof. De Veaux.
